Google Search Console or GSC is a tool created by Google that helps track a website’s performance, provides information that helps rank higher in SERPS, comes up with your website issues and many more wonderful benefits we can list as follows:
Google Search Console will :
Facilitate google’s access to your website content
Enable you to submit your articles for indexing
Help you monitor your website whole performance
Come up with security, spam and errors issues
Help you see which pages are indexed and which are not and WHY
Help you withdraw Urls you no more want to keep indexed or shown in Serps
And many other features…
And do you know what…?
GSC would help you ALSO change you domain address under its settings section

How To Set Up Google Search Console
Setting up Google Search Console is very SIMPLE…
What you’ll need to do is…
SIMPLY Following these TWO EASY steps here…
First Step – Head to Google Search Console
To begin with…
Click on the following Url Address : https://search.google.com/search-console/about
Then click that “Start now” blue button…
You’ll land up on this page with two property verification types…
→ Choose the “URL prefix“, as it will give you easier verification options.
The next step will be to verify your website as yours…
Yeah!
Well… We know it’s yours but you’ll STILL have to do it…hhhhhh
Don’t worry, I’ll show you how…
Keep reading…
In the “URL prefix” section, type your Website Url and then click “Continue“
You’ll land up on the following page with different verification options…
Scroll down to “HTML Tag“
You see that “Copy” in there…
Don’t Click it…
(Well… AT LEAST not for the moment…)
Well go back to it. So, keep that page open…
Second Step – Head to your WordPress Dashboard
In this section, We’re going to use a plugin…
And its name is “Yoast SEO“
Go ahead and follow these easy steps to install it, then activate it…
- Go to the WordPress dashboard…
- On the left side, click “Plugins”, then “Add New Plugin”…
- Type this plugin name in there : “Yoast SEO”…
- Once it comes up, click “Install Now”, then “Activate”…
NOW that you just activated it, go to the left side of your dashboard, you’ll see it added in there > click on it then click “Settings“
After that, go and click on “Site connections”
GREAT…
Do you remember when I told you to keep that HTML Tag code page open and don’t click that “Copy” button…
Well, click that “Copy” from there NOW and paste it in this field here, then hit “Save changes“
Once you’re done with that “copy paste”, go back and click “VERIFY“
…and that’s it.
Congrats…
Your site is now verified GUYS.
Your NEXT step NOW will be to submit your sitemap through your Google search console account…
